STV currently has an opening in our Charleston, SC office for a Roadway/Civil Engineer in our Transportation & Infrastructure division.This person will primarily perform production of construction documents, plans, specifications, estimates, and various studies and reports for road/highway projects including but not limited to design projects for public agencies.

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the design of roadway alignments and details, grading, drainage, traffic and other highway infrastructure and site work
  • Supporting interdisciplinary projects, document preparation and production, assisting sub-consultants, monitoring budgets, schedules, and quality
  • Interacting with client management teams, engineers, and marketing teams
  • Design using Bentley OpenRoads Designer

Required Skills & Required Experience:

  • BS required (MS degree preferred) in Civil Engineering
  • South Carolina Engineering Intern (EI) certification preferred
  • Exposure to transportation, highway, and roadway design, or closely related engineering field.
  • Proficient in Bentley Open Roads Designer
  • Familiarity with SCDOT Roadway Standards, Criteria, and Specifications
  • Ability to support management and provide technical expertise in the following areas: Roadway/highway design, Vertical and horizontal alignments, Pavement design, and Drainage system design.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Compensation Range:

$60,842.00 - $81,122.00
