Summary

APS's Summer IT Internship Program is looking to create a team of interns for a dynamic and fast pace 10week training program that provides hands-on experiences and unique opportunities in the areas of Application Development, Architecture, Infrastructure, and IT Resources and Planning.

Multiple internship positions available in areas such as Applications, Business Intelligence & Data Management, Design & Spatial Management, Digital Solutions & Delivery, Digital Transformation, and Enterprise Architecture.

General Intern Summary:

Acquires broad experience in practicing and learning business, engineering, information systems fundamentals in real work settings. Intern assignment is for a short, temporary period of time.

Minimum Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university undergraduate degree program.
  • Must show ongoing achievement in areas of study and training.

Major Accountabilities

1) Performs simple to intermediate analysis and designs. May assist in preparing business/engineering plans, designs, specifications, cost estimates, evaluations and studies.

2) Assists in research, business documentation, studies or technical reviews. Conducts analyses, investigations, verifications and summarizes results or findings in written reports or oral presentations.

3) Utilizes internal resources to learn business/engineering operations/functions and apply learning in completion of work assignments.

4) Coordinates efforts with other disciplines, and/or departments in achieving project goals and task assignments.

5) Performs other related duties as required.

Hybrid: Employees in hybrid roles work both in their home offices (virtually) and alongside their colleagues (in person).

In order for employees to build strong relationships and to promote meaningful in-person interactions, hybrid employees are expected to work about 40% of their time in-person at an APS or other (non-home office) location.
