Your Job

INVISTA is seeking a Global Director, Strategic Marketing to join the integrated nylon business team, supporting the business across the Americas, Europe and Asia.

The Global Director will be responsible for developing and implementing INVISTA's global marketing strategy and adapting the strategy to each region's needs. This person will work collaboratively with regional commercial leaders and their respective teams to develop and execute marketing plans that support near-term and long-term regional and global strategic objectives. Such plans would include product-based and segment-specific messaging, collateral and tools; trade show development; promotional approaches (print, digital, etc.); building and driving social media presence where appropriate; and other tactical needs.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and creative thinker with a proven ability to develop brand strategies that grow mind share while aiding customer retention and capture of new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will define INVISTA nylon's market identity and ensure its alignment across regions, contributing to the attainment of the global business vision. This role will require up to 50% travel, including international and overnight travel. The role is based in Wichita, Kansas.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with commercial teams in each region to create overall market identity and competitive position consistent with the company's vision.
  • Identify competitive nuances and similarities between each region and develop go to market strategies that support INVISTA's commercial objectives.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with regional and global support resources to execute marketing plans.
  • Own trade show strategies by identifying shows that support regional goals, driving timelines, and planning with regional leads
  • Understand the commercial needs within each region and develop sales tools, collateral and coaching that competitively position INVISTA in the market.
  • Collaborate with other major functions - such as sales, customer experience, business development, product development, technical, etc. - to help ensure consistent messaging and market engagement
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee implementation of marketing activities across various channels, while interacting with manufacturing sites and customers to understand needs, help capture insights and drive improvements.
  • Develop and proactively communicate reality-based KPIs and other measures to track progress against commercial objectives

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 10+ years of experience leading strategic marketing and/or B2B marketing
  • Experience managing creative partners and support resources (internal and external where appropriate)
  • Experience working in multiple marketing channels, including digital and traditional media

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Nylon and/or other polymer experience
  • 10+ years of experience leading strategic marketing and/or B2B marketing, in industrial markets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and coaching skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and strategies to diverse audiences
  • Experience with brand positioning and differentiation
  • Experience developing marketing experiments that test new ideas and insights
  • Experience engaging with global partners, especially in industrial and/or commodity markets
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines
