Overview

The Sanctions & Embargoes Process & Risk Oversight (PRO) Officer assists with the maintenance of a control framework to ensure adherence to all applicable Sanctions & Embargoes regulations and policies within Deutsche Bank Group. Regulation, Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) protect the integrity and reputation of Deutsche Bank. They manage the Bank's risks and help to avoid unintentional rule breaches and conflicts of interest. At the same time, they also advise on ethical conduct, governance issues and keep our organisation up-to-date on regulatory and political challenges.

What You'll Do

  • Support the Regional Head of Sanctions in protecting Deutsche Bank from legal, regulatory and reputational risk with regard to Sanctions & Embargoes

  • Continuously monitor the regulatory situation with regards to Sanctions & Embargoes

  • Assist on management and oversight of the sanctions-specific controls within AFC, the Business, and other infrastructure functions

  • Support the establishment of an integrated controls and sanctions testing framework covering Sanctions & Embargoes regionally, and perform second level controls and periodic testing on Sanctions & Embargoes matters, processes and procedures within Deutsche Bank Americas, in line with the Process & Risk Oversight team's methodology

  • Assist on Sanctions & Embargoes transactional lookbacks, user reviews, reconciliations, enhancement efforts, and other ad-hoc projects, as appropriate, track updates to the Process & Risk Oversight Key Operating Procedure in order to adhere to the Sanctions Policy and other AFC requirements across Deutsche Bank Americas

  • Maintain close interaction with third parties (e.g. within the AFC organization or TS&MO)

Skills You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Moderate years' experience in Compliance or similar industry

  • Basic knowledge of payments systems and payments processing, including electronic payment processing (i.e., SWIFT)

  • Basic knowledge of economic sanctions and/or Anti Money Laundering (AML) regulations

  • Ability to prioritize requirements to adhere to deadlines

  • Detail oriented and organized, as well as proactive in follow-up on pending deliverables

  • Flexible to work extended hours to meet deadlines, when necessary

  • Able to work across geographic and cultural boundaries to achieve organizational goals and objectives

  • Ready to assist the Process & Risk Oversight team lead, as well as other teams within Sanctions & Embargoes, on any ad-hoc project, Collaborative team player

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville, FL office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville, FL is $54,000 to $77,400.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
