Overview

You will join a small team in IB & CB Central to support the delivery of key overarching priorities of the management board area, namely: front-to-back (F2B) alignment of our technology, operations, and other infrastructure functions to our business. You will work to enhance our controls; and supporting our client strategy. You will join a team that is at the heart of Corporate Bank's (CB's) and Investment Bank's (IB's) transformation, driving improvements front to back, building relationships with key stakeholders, and delivering tangible value to the Bank.

What You'll Do

  • Support our group's ownership of cross-divisional controls for market conduct risks

  • Identify and implement controls necessary to address compliance and market conduct risks with a cross-divisional perspective

  • Understand regulatory and legal requirements with respect to market conduct risks with the ability to engage in analysis of control environments and risk assessments

  • Be the point of contact for all matters relating to Designated Market Activities (DMA), including oversight of DMA business units' recertification process, DMA Risk Appetite reporting, DMA Impact Assessment, the DMA Policy & Procedure Inventory and all associated reportings

  • Engage in secretarial functions on behalf of governance fora and the preparation and presentation of regular reports and metrics

  • Engage on Know Your Customer (KYC) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/ Anti-Money Laundering (AML) matters across the Bank, in support of regulatory initiatives

How You'll Lead

  • Provide leadership and oversight to a CB & IB Operations/Controls Conduct & Control Risk Investigations team in the review of potential KYC breaches

  • Collaborate with the 1st Line of Defense (LOD), Financial Risk Management, Compliance and Regulatory teams to ensure regulatory initiatives are delivered on time with cross-divisional aspects considered, and consistent messaging from our team internally and externally

  • Collaborate with other parts of CB, IB, and IB & CB Central as well as other relevant stakeholders (e.g. Divisional Finance & Strategy Teams, etc.)

Skills You'll Need

  • Significant professional experience in Compliance, Regulatory and KYC

  • Bachelor degree or above, preferably with a focus on Laws, Rules and Regulations, Risk Management

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills (structuring, analysis, synthesis)

  • Ability to effectively deliver results in environments or projects that are nonlinear, fast-paced, and often characterized by incomplete information and stakeholder disagreements

  • Excellent knowledge and experience with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Deep understanding of Deutsche Bank's strategy, financial performance as well as the banking industry more broadly with expert excel and project management skills

  • Strong business storytelling and communication skills

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York or Jacksonville office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York is $125,000.000 to $203,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
