Job Summary: This position is primarily responsible for data collection and analysis of sleep studies in patients 3 years of age and older, but also helps support departmental efforts such as, but not limited to, the development and onboarding of new hires, maintenance of center accreditation/compliance with regulatory and professional bodies, and implementation of infection control plan. Hours/Shift : 3 days 12 hrs shiftsThursday - Sunday 7pm - 7 am Essential Functions:
- Identifies and documents patient events including, but not limited to, sleep stages, respiratory events, EKG arrhythmias, positional changes, therapeutic interventions
- Identifies and documents patient events including, but not limited to, sleep stages, respiratory events, EKG arrhythmias, positional changes, therapeutic interventions
- Corrects poor study/signal quality timely and appropriately
- Performs common office tasks encountered in a medical setting including, but not limited to, data entry, scheduling, messaging
- Reviews previously recorded studies for completeness and accuracy of, but not limited to, sleep stages, respiratory events, EKG events, positional changes, therapeutic interventions
- Contributes to the development of less experienced team members
- High School Graduate/GED.
- Graduate of an AMA approved School for EEG, Sleep Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or Nursing preferred, OR on the job training that led to registration/certification
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or Registered Sleep Technologist. Must be certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support CPR
- Experience with common MS Office applications preferred. For example, applicant should have the ability to create a table, sort, and filter data (Excel), create a slide set (Power Point), copy and paste text/images and manage an email in box.
