Depending on experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at Psychologist 1 or 2 level. Level 1 has less than 2 years Psychologist experience. Under direction from the Manager of Outpatient Psychiatry Services and the Director of the College Mental Health Program, the Psychologist 2 provides all aspects of psychological services including diagnostic evaluations, assessments, treatment planning and individual therapy for UCSD college students at the UCSD La Jolla Outpatient Psychiatric Services. Provides family and group psychotherapy as needed. Provides evidence-based brief interventions in integrated behavioral health model patients with more complex interacting disorders. Coordinates all mental health services and assures quality of care. Participates on multi-disciplinary treatment team, interviews patients, and facilitates discussion around diagnosis and treatment planning. The licensed clinician is responsible for the soundness and validity of recommendations and services but is expected to seek advice from supervisor or senior specialists on unusual or complex cases. Incumbent keeps supervisor informed of the status and progress of individual cases. Professional and community activities include participating in conferences, professional development seminars with fellow staff and team members. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $108,325 - $142,660 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $51.88 - $68.32 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
