Position Purpose







The position serves in the key leadership position related to development and administrating all operational areas of Supply Chain. Specifically, the Director will administer central supply management, surgical services management, receiving, deliveries, and perpetual inventories.









Nature and Scope







* This position will manage and lead front line functions of Operations for all acute hospitals included but not limited to Central Supply, Surgical Supply Services, Receiving, and Perpetual Inventory Teams.

* This position is responsible for driving strategic initiatives for Renown, focused primarily but not limited to Supply Chain operations and logistic functions.

* This position is responsible for driving on time deliveries to clinical staff, navigating and providing solutions to Midas incidents reported by clinical staff, and facilitating communications across the broader spectrum of the Renown organization.

* This position is a key partner to Nursing and Clinical leadership teams and the person must be comfortable working with all levels of the organization from entry level through CEO levels.

* This position supports the Director of Supply Chain Management in managing procurement, contractual, and data management functions of supply chain.

* This position requires a self - starter that confirms a problem statement, documents goals, success criteria and independently leads cross functional teams with limited direction to implement process improvements, drive cross organizational change, and ensure tasks and dependencies are completed successfully according to documented project plan.

* This position must drive accountability while maintaining working relationships and ensure sustainable lean practices across all projects.

* This position should act as a resource and mentor to less experienced colleagues.

* This position is fluent in new product introduction, commodity management, material management, compliance & risk, social and supply chain security, and cost management.

* This position interfaces with strategic suppliers and key internal functional teams to appropriately influence sourcing decisions, achieving optimal cost and delivery goals.

* This position organizes and commits periodic inventory reviews to assure removal of obsolete product, implementation of appropriate burn down of overstock, and manages inventory value goals of reduction.

This position does not provide patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

Description



Education:



Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. A bachelor's degree in business or related fields. Candidates with an MBA are preferred.



Experience:



Demonstrated abilities in management and program development, a demonstrated understanding of a vendor environment, materials distribution and logistics.

Proficiency in continuous quality improvement programs and an understanding of business processes re-engineering. Effective relationships building abilities, particularly with management, physicians, and other clinicians. Experience in serving a multiple site organization, customers, and project management capabilities. Strong and effective communication skills. Five years of progressively responsible materials management experience. Healthcare experience preferred.

Proven Previous Lean Process Improvement Implementation or minimum Six Sigma Green Belt Certification



Computer / Typing:



Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Word and have the ability to use the computer for online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
