STV isseeking an energetic and highly motivated self-starter Traffic Engineerthat wants to elevate their career to the next level to serve as task lead or project manager within our growingTraffic Practice in Oklahoma City, OK.

Primary role and responsibilities:

  • Provide technical services on traffic engineering and design projects. Services may include traffic signal design, ITS design, traffic signal timing plans, illumination/lighting, ADA/sidewalk design, signing, and pavement marking and design.
  • Provide traffic engineering studies such as traffic impact analyses, signal timing analyses, microscopic and macroscopic simulation modeling, signal warrants, speed studies, capacity analysis, traffic operations, safety analysis, and parking studies.
  • Develop final plans, specifications, and estimate (PS&E) documents for services listed abovefor various state and local agencies. This work will require coordination with other internal disciplines.
  • Prepare written reports and presentations detailing analysis and design performed on projects/studies.
  • Provides technical guidance and mentoring to team members to achieve overall project objectives.
  • Ability to integrate into multiple project delivery teams with concurrent and overlapping schedules, potentially in multiple states.
  • Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal development.
  • Develops scope-of-work and level-of-effort for projects and studies. Manage adherence to scope and budget on engineering projects and studies within discipline.
  • Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team's work within the technical discipline.
  • Verify compliance with applicable codes, engineering standards and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited Civil Engineering program or related field.
  • This position is for an individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Traffic Engineering and interested in working on transportation projects with State DOTs, local governments, and the private sector.
  • PE license is required.
  • Experience in traffic engineering including traffic signal design and timing, operational analysis, and capacity analysis.
  • Experience with traffic software; HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, CORSIM, and SIDRA as well as transportation planning software TransCAD and CUBE.
  • Experience with CAD applications such as OpenRoads Designer (preferred), MicroStation Geopak and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • ODOT and other Cities/Counties in Oklahoma experience is preferred.
  • Active participation in professional society activities encouraged.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Compensation Range:

$66,862.00 - $89,149.00
