Job Brief
Under the supervision of the Maintenance manager, the Parts Clerk is responsible for all inventory, purchasing, ordering, and recording of parts for production equipment and building maintenance. JOB DESCRIPTION FACILITY: Norfolk DEPARTMENT: Maintenance JOB TITLE: Parts Clerk REPORT TO: Maintenance Manager REVISION DATE: 3/6/23 JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Work safely and promote a safe work environment. 2. Maintain and update CAM inventory and control. 3. Complete parts generation and requests in a timely manner. 4. Monitor inventory parts and labels for problems. 5. Assist other maintenance employees with inventory, parts requests, and repair projects. 6. Inspect parts room and inventory for problems. 7. Computer Skills. 8. Organizational skills. 9. Knowledge of machine parts. 10. Be able to establish and keep vendor contacts. 11. Comply with all plant and food safety, Food Safety Plan, GMP and sanitation regulations. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to work alone and with others Work with minimal supervision; be a self-starter and dependable. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Available for call-in and overtime work whenever necessary and needed. Ability to keep accurate records.
