Description

Summary / Position Purpose:

The Customer Pricing Specialist will be responsible for reviewing large & mid-sized revenue opportunities, including VMI cribs, RFQs and contract pricing, interpreting & applying our pricing framework to balance the demands of profitability, topline growth & long-term potential. This role supports our customer-facing teams, and helps us manage the overall profitability of our organization. Successful candidates will be highly organized, with a high level of attention to detail & the ability to work within a fast-paced deals-desk environment. Candidates will need to have strong Excel skills to manipulate opportunity data. This role also requires excellent communication & time management skills. Experience working in Finance, Pricing, Sales Ops or a related area will be an advantage in this role.

Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:



  • Apply customer pricing framework to review & approve large & mid-sized opportunities
  • Communicate pricing to Sales & Customer Services teams in a timely manner
  • Monitor pricing compliance and work with the Customer Pricing Manager to identify issues with compliance
  • Work with Sales & Customer Services teams to meet pricing SLAs & address any issues
  • Identify & act on opportunities for price optimization at a customer level to improve margin and competitiveness

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:



  • Experience in Pricing, Sales, Sales Operations, or a related function, or a degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Finance)
  • Good communicator
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Sales experience, or experience working closely with a Sales team is an advantage

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
