Overview

The Associate will report to the Strategic Partnerships Director and is responsible for providing entry level administrative and grant process support to the strategic partnerships team within the Corporate Affairs department.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide office management and administrative support for the Strategic Partnerships director and direct report staff as required to maintain an efficient, positive and effective grant management team process and workflow.
  • Provide administrative support for grantmaking and employee engagement programs and databases including fielding inquiries from community partners and employees.
  • Work with department director to support corporate affairs goals, implement corporate giving programs, and evaluate projects and measure success.
  • Assist with meeting presentations and materials, including editing and formatting PowerPoint presentations and departmental materials.
  • Provide events support for departmental meetings and employee engagement programs.
  • Support internal communications needs around the companys intranet and departmental workflow management system.
  • Work to provide a positive onboarding experience with new team members.
  • Serve as departmental training coordinator for human resources/work-related needs.
  • Work on special projects as assigned by Strategic Partnerships Director.
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, Communications or a related field and Full-time or internship experience will count towards the one-year minimum of work experience requirement; Candidates that have participated in the companys full-time college cooperative or summer cooperative internships for a minimum of six months meet the EP experience requirements.
Relevant Work Experience
  • Full-time or internship experience will count towards the one-year minimum of work experience requirement; Candidates that have participated in the companys full-time college cooperative or summer cooperative internships for a minimum of six months meet the EP experience requirements Required or
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products Required
  • Must demonstrate ability to accept challenges and solve problems Required
  • Must exercise good judgment and render sound decisions Required
  • Must demonstrate a positive work ethic in support of the Companys Corporate Values and Missions Required
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills Required
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments Required
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with company employees Required
  • Experience in database management preferred Preferred
  • Interest in corporate philanthropy, the energy sector, and environmental programs preferred Preferred
Licenses And Certfications
  • Driver's License Required
Physical Demands
  • Sit or stand to answer a phone for the duration of the workday
  • Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday
  • Ability to stoop, bend, reach, and kneel throughout the workday
Additional Physical Demands
  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
