Job Summary

The Showroom Host is a key component of the Dominion customer experience, and is often the first touchpoint for most of our clientele. They are able to express a polished, warm, open, and helpful demeanor whether communicating via phone or in person at reception in our showrooms.

Frequently the Showroom Host will field initial questions regarding lighting, fixtures, controls, and parts. While they do not need to have extensive knowledge in these areas, they do need to know which team member/team should be handling the question/request. It is essential that the Showroom Host ensure that the client feels as if their particular inquiry is important and handled in an expedient manner.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions



  • Work collaboratively to direct inquiries to appropriate members of the Dominion team, who will then research and provide creative recommendations on lighting design for their clientele.
  • Completes limited software support projects that include data entry.
  • Organize, plan, and coordinate with the team to assist with scheduling and arranging appointments.
  • Answers in-coming telephone calls and greets walk-in visitors.
  • Assist with returns, look up the status of in-process client orders, and assist with issues as they arise.
  • Maintain and restock the hospitality bar, ensuring that equipment is maintained and in good repair, and refreshments are replenished.
  • Handle both voice and email correspondence to the main showroom mailboxes, prioritize and execute good judgment, and demonstrate initiative and tact with customers and vendors on all levels.
  • Perform additional tasks and projects as and when assigned by the Director of Showrooms, Showroom Team Leads, and/or appointed VP.


Non-essential Functions



  • May monitor supplies and manage recycle programs.
  • May be responsible for or assist with processing returns and warranty/repair processing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or designate.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write and speak English required.
  • Prefer good working knowledge of PC for Windows, the Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, Email and SAP software.
