The Systems Specialist position provides liaison role for Warranty systems and other business entities (ISD, Engineering, Quality, Factory, Japan) for system enhancements. The position performs review, coordinate, and update system processes, controls, and compliance functions and work with business units for creating/submitting RSS for system enhancements. In addition, the Systems Specialist also communicate any warranty-related system modifications, enhancements, and discrepancies to affected Users and Programmers while working closely with the Campaign Administration Group, Factory and Honda Motors to resolve campaign and system issues and discrepancies. Lastly, this position support and identify system related issues by working with Claims Processing group for dealer reported issues.

At Honda, our associates take pride in their responsibilities. A typical day for the Systems Specialist will include:



  • Troubleshoot and resolve claim issues brought up by Claims Processing group. Support Claims Processing analysts in resolving claim errors pertaining to Warranty coverage on various issues (i.e., emissions, non-U.S. VINs, labor ops, etc.). When required, collaborated with Honda Motors Japan, ISD and other internal business groups on system issues.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the HNA-IS and HM teams to ensure the proper execution and implementation of the new global warranty systems that will be used by Honda worldwide. Conduct and execute various project deliverables as well as project tracking and management to ensure the project is on time and on budget. Provide backup and support function to the business project leads.
  • Collaborate with internal Warranty department as well as HNA and HM NWS2 technical teams to enhance Warranty systems to better validate warranty claims and build efficiencies for internal warranty end users.
  • Collaborate with internal Warranty department and dealers as well as HNA iN technical teams to enhance iN Warranty claims portal based on dealers' feedback.
  • Provide warranty subject matter expertise and project management to other business units (within the same division or outside division) to further enhance overall Honda Service processes. Example: Stop Sale Reimbursement project.



Qualifications

We are looking for qualified people and diverse background and experiences, open minds, and a disciplined work ethic, to bring the future to Honda as a Systems Specialist, you must have:



  • BA/BS degree with a major in technology, business administration or equivalent WORK-RELATED experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of automotive warranty policy and procedural management experience, including claims processing, warranty system maintenance and development and campaign setup/management
  • Proficient in project management
  • General business knowledge of automotive technology and mainframe system knowledge
  • General knowledge of SAS and/or Business Objects data reporting tools
  • Computer system/relational database knowledge preferred
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Proficient in PC applications including Microsoft business products and data analytical tools
