Position Summary:

In the Sourcing Associate position, you'll effectively manage escalations, negotiate supplier costs and contracts, and oversee supply chains for a designated group of suppliers and manufacturers. You bring a strong working knowledge of supply chain best practices and are proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements within the department.

What You'll Do and Impact:

  • Manage supply chain for assigned suppliers, including; cost, quality and fulfillment. Develop and leverage relationships.

  • Negotiate highly competitive programs for Direct Supply, including costs, rebates, co-op and incentives.

  • Own escalations and negotiations (e.g., large sale opportunity strategy/support, metrics, customer service and sales support, etc.).

  • Proactively identify and implement process improvement strategies within team.

  • Vet and onboard suppliers and ensure successful transition into the Direct Supply portfolio.

  • Monitor risk to business continuity with assigned suppliers (risk mitigation and/or contingency plans, etc.).

  • Monitor supplier performance and provide reports and analyses on key supply chain metrics.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Supply Chain best practices and/or tools.

  • Maintain supplier database and documentation.

  • Assist and/or complete full supplier evaluations to ensure suppliers meet the short- and long-term needs of the business.

  • Leverage Subject Matter Experts in Senior Living and Lines of Business as needed to support day-to-day work (e.g., regulations, requirements, industry trends).

  • Actively participate as a resource on project teams and/or programs to support business initiatives and objectives.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Management, Engineering, Business Management, Operations, Business Administration, or International Business

  • 3-5 years sourcing, negotiations and supply management experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Additional Items of Interest:

  • APICS, CPSM or equivalent a plus
