D411 Life Cycle Support Programs, is seeking a Program Representative to oversee the development of Ship Alterations (ShipAlts) to submarine components and systems.

Key Responsibilities include:

    Obtain tasking through Task Instructions with NAVSEA.
  • Coordinate efficient and effective communication between all internal and external stakeholders from the cost estimate phase through Alteration completion.
  • Track and project the development and financial status of all tasking under their cognizance.
  • Oversee the production of all design and ILS products to support the change.
  • Drive tasking to be completed within budget and to meet the NMP-MOM schedule requirements.
  • Ensure effective transfer of completed products to downstream stakeholders for material procurement and installation teams.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to drive assigned projects to completion.
  • Strong organizational/technical skills to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities in a team-oriented environment.
  • The ability to manage engineering tasks/projects within defined cost and schedule baselines.
  • The ability to lead a matrix assigned project team, foster consensus, and determine priorities based on needs.
  • The ability to adapt to obstacles in a task, then develop and implement solutions to still achieve the goal.
  • The ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external customers, all working toward the common goal of improving the fleet.

Periodic travel to EB Washington Engineering Office is likely.



Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2-9 years experience in project management or related roles.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher (Engineering Preferred)
  • Experience working on and/or managing technical/engineering projects.
  • Experience in managing client relationships and handling client issues.
  • Working knowledge or experience in Earned Value Management.
  • Knowledge of project planning tools.
