Overview

In this role, you will be a Senior Trader responsible for executing the strategy of the Convertibles trading business as well as executing trades and/or providing advisory market content, as appropriate, in their relevant product/sector/market, in line with the Function's trading strategies. You will develop and cultivate strong client relationships. To be successful in this is role, you will work collaboratively with other parts of the Bank to offer multiple products and solutions to clients.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients

  • Create and deliver high-value added financial analysis to targeted universe of clients and prospects

  • Collaborate with other internal teams to cross-sell other products offered by the Bank

  • Provide input on the strategic direction of the group and professional development of team members

How You'll Lead

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the deal teams on setting appropriate project initiatives; executing pitches to prospective clients; ensuring overall successful transactions are undertaken in an efficient manner; and developing junior members of the team to accelerate their careers

  • Identify issues, gaps, and process improvements through open communication both internally and with other Bank areas, and through the monitoring of productivity against benchmarks

  • Ensure that Bank policies and guidelines applicable to the division are complied with to ensure that risk is appropriately mitigated

Skills You'll Need

  • Significant network and experience within the arena with extensive, in-depth product and market knowledge

  • Proven track record of independently and proactively servicing multiple clients and effectively managing multiple priorities, while generating significant revenue

  • Strong commercial acumen: understanding client/market problems, proactively tackling challenges and seizing opportunities as they arise

  • Proven ability to coach and encourage a diverse team of talented individuals to achieve outstanding results

  • A strategic thinker with the ability to understand broad business issues, their potential implications and to make sound business recommendations

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $190K to $300K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
