We are searching for a mission-driven Operational Test Fighter Pilot with experience in operational test as it applies to fighter aircraft mission level simulations and a Top Secret/SCI Clearance to join AMERICAN SYSTEMS team at Kirtland AFB NM

This position is Part-time 20+ hours per week

A week in the life of the Operational Test Fighter Pilot includes:



  • Participate in simulation development planning to include working with simulation developers and operational test teams to refine simulation requirements and analyze design alternatives, formulate concepts for the intended use of JSE.
  • Provide support to operational test teams in JSE accreditation planning, verification and validation oversight, and accreditation assessment and reporting.
  • Maintain awareness of AFOTEC planned use of JSE and ensure AFOTEC planned use is reflected in JSE development and operations schedules.
  • Attend Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMS), Integrated Product Team (IPT) working groups, design reviews, and discussions with the JSE Program office, F-22 and F-35 Program Offices, JSE development and verification and validation (V&V) teams, and work with other JSE stakeholders to include Air Combat Command (ACC), COMOPTEVFOR, United Kingdom Air Warfare Centre (AWC) and the Royal Australian Air Force.
  • Assist in conceptual model validation planning of JSE to identify inherent capabilities and limitations of the JSE federation architecture and modeling approach.
  • Identify factors that will influence use of JSE by operational test teams (e.g., technical limitations, security considerations, cost and schedule).

  • Masters Degree in Science (Engineering, IT, or a related field)
  • 20 years of OT flying experience
  • Experience with AFOTEC Modeling and Simulation requirements (Specifically AFOTEC 101 and 301 training)
  • Experience with current and future threat platforms

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
