Job Summary:
This position plays a vital role in the day-to-day functioning of the potato breeding program by managing the planning and implementation of planting and harvesting activities for greenhouse and field projects. The role involves creating and managing electronic and written records related to greenhouse and field operations, standard operating procedures, research outcomes, and inventories. This individual oversees post-harvest evaluations and storage maintenance of potato germplasm, including the preparation of shipments and associated paperwork. They also aid in applying for phytosanitary permits and handling regulatory documentation for international shipments. Additional responsibilities include taking part in outreach programs connected to the station. Responsibilities: Develops, designs, and conducts one or more research projects and organizes daily operation of projects and specialized research areas to ensure work meets established objectives under moderate supervision.
