We are looking for a Data Office Domain Lead to join us in our Data Management Team based on the Raleigh, NC or Atlanta, GA

About the role
The Data Office Domain Lead will be responsible for delivering on the adoption of the global data strategy, governance, reuse and best practices within a specific functional domain(s) of the organization, ensuring that it is aligned with the company's overall strategy and objectives.

Who you'll work with
This individual will work closely with stakeholders within a domain to identify key data enablement opportunities and ensure that data governance & reuse are considered in all projects & digital solutions. The successful candidate will implement best practices for data operations, data cataloging and search, and domain-level data structuring/organization. This role will also partner with IT with the facilitation of the IT representative to deliver technology components.

What you'll do

  • Contribute to the implementation of the organization's data strategy within each domain, ensuring that it is aligned with the company's overall strategy and objectives.
  • Work with stakeholders within a domain to identify key data enablement opportunities and ensure that data governance and reuse are considered in all projects and digital solutions.
  • Work with IT to ensure that the organization's data infrastructure within a domain is fit for purpose and aligned with best practices.
  • Implement a data sharing strategy within a domain that enables the organization to share data effectively and efficiently.
  • Seen as a delivery-oriented operational Business partner able to support and develop products for data capability which deliver on pressing needs across data analytic science, program/business needs, technology and process enablement.
  • Intentionally collaborative by mediating across interest groups to deliver transversal solutions.
  • Significantly contributes to Data Office team preparation: action planning, execution, delivery, and communication at leadership forums/decision boards through to broader community wide communication
  • An effective member of the Data Office and the broader Digital Cultural initiative

Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills

  • Masters Degree with 5+ years data engineering or software development experience
  • Knowledge of one of Python, R, and SAS and a willingness and ability to develop in the others.
  • Demonstrated delivery of cross functional initiatives - preference to systems/ data-enabled / advanced analytics / process improvement.
  • Experience in the implementation of a data strategy within a large organization.
  • Strong understanding of data management best practices, including data quality, data security, and data privacy.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed organization.

This positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is $142,000-$186,000. The actual salary offered will take into account related knowledge, skills, experience and location among other factors and may fall outside the expected range.
