5GC and 4G packet core networking is a critical capability of the NIB, providing "Last Mile" space communications.



  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for 5G Core network functions and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement highly optimized (in terms of the CPU and the memory utilization) 5GC components
  • Develop software applications and protocols compliant with 3GPP standards for the deployment of advanced functionalities on embedded systems.
  • Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of software solutions to meet the demanding requirements of a cutting-edge 5G Core infrastructure in an embedded system environment.
  • Integrate new features such as network automation, AI/ML-driven capabilities, edge computing support, and IoT connectivity into the 5GC platform tailored for use within embedded systems



  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C/C++ specifically applied to telecommunications software development on embedded systems.
  • Experience working with telecommunication protocols including HTTP/2, Diameter, SCTP/IP
  • Experience working on Agile environments applying DevOps practices for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines within telecommunications domain tailored towards applications running on embedded systems.
  • Experience with the "zero touch provisioning"
  • Experience with the high availability platforms (above 5 9s)
