Chevo Consulting is currently hiring a Senior Program Operations Manager to joinour expanding managementconsulting practice. The ideal candidate will work with Customs & Border Protection (CBP) clients to establish and monitor the program's execution towards milestones, key events, and significant accomplishment criteria. Primary Location of client site is in Ashburn, VA and is metro accessible.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide support services to the Enterprise Services (ES) Acquisition Portfolio Management Division (APMD). APMD directs the acquisition portfolio within ES for Mission Offices (Human Resource Management, Facilities and Asset Management, Training and Development).
  • Prepare monthly internal / external financial and program deliverables to include detailed complex Monthly Status Reports (MSR)s.
  • Lead support efforts that will enable ES APMD to enhance current practices and address realignment initiatives/needs while maintaining and meeting current requirements; may include providing process/program analysis, and senior technical documentation.
  • Assist Government program/project manager in the development of new programs and associated documentation or the execution oversight of deployed programs or technical capability integration activities.
  • Assist the Government with preparing SES and higher headquarters-level briefs, white papers, and memos used as the basis to support executive program recommendations and decisions.
  • Develop and support the management of program plans, task trackers and schedules that comply with the program's Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Assist Govt program/project manager in tracking project cost, schedule and technical performance.
  • Assist the Government with preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial activities, which includes EACs, Forecasting, and Annual Operating Plan.
  • Assist the Government by preparing backup documentation to customer invoice submissions.
  • Assist the Government with developing, maintaining and analyzing spend plans and Estimate to Completion (ETC)'s for projects assigned.
  • Assist the Government with preparing purchase requisitions, monitoring subcontractor costs, and prepare accruals.
  • Assist Govt by interacting with customers and internal stakeholders on matters such as contracts, subcontracts, contract accounting accounts payable, purchasing organizations and pricing.
Required Qualifications:
  • Masters degree
  • 10 years' experience in areas such as Federal program, acquisition, and financial management practices
  • Strong knowledge of Federal support services such as acquisition program management, process/program analysis, program oversight, scheduling, financial management, procurement, status reporting, and communications/outreach
  • Ability to conduct research and analyses to resolve problems and offer corrective action
  • Ability to pass client clearance requirements
Desired Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of acquisition processes, and tools especially within DHS or CBP agencies
  • Ability to add the government on discussions and analysis variances between forecast and actuals.
  • Working knowledge of federal procurement processes, and tools especially within civilian agencies
  • Proficiency with Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
  • Current or recent DHS CBP clearance or Background Investigation (BI), or from similar DHS or Federal law enforcement agency
SALARY RANGE: $110,000 - $130,000
