The successful candidate:

Hours: PRN - No set schedule. Coverage as needed

Performs all tasks related to the EHR admission/discharge process of outpatient and inpatient visits. Performs accurate patient demographic and insurance information be collected and verified upon each registration.

Additional duties include: generating registration visits for multiple patient types including surgical, physician office visits, patient transfers, managing both the registration hotline on a 24/7 basis and the hospitalist hotline, accepting patient payments and issuing receipts, providing patient information, completing required forms and scanning documents daily.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Hospital Registration and/or Insurance experience preferred.

  • Customer service experience.

  • Minimum of 1 year + experience in a healthcare setting.

  • Organized and detail oriented with good analytical skills. The ability to consistently exercise good judgment and follow direction is necessary.

  • General knowledge of typing/keyboard skills, PC and Microsoft software, Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • General knowledge of various office equipment(s) i.e. copier, fax machine, scanner, printer etc.

  • Professional telephone etiquette and solid communication (verbal and written) skills are essential.

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and a good attendance.
