Mission Contribution: Providing access to fresh food, produce, and meat at reasonable prices with an emphasis on providing opportunity to the community in which the Market serves.

Summary: Responsible for stocking and organizing produce, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining a clean and inviting produce section. To ensure consistent and world-class customer experiences through the superior show of quality and friendly customer service.

Essential Functions:


  1. Assist customers with any questions or concerns and have good communication.
  2. Count inventory, add price tags to items, and restocking product on shelves and in refrigeration sections according to an organized system given by management.
  3. To maintain knowledge of products sold throughout the department, suggest new items to customers, and inform customers of produce specials.
  4. Assist with the preparation of packaging, labeling, and inventorying produce.
  5. To ensure freshness and quality of product, review the "sell by" dates, freshness of product, and take appropriate action if needed.
  6. Report any product or shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
  7. Ability to work under pressure during peak store operations.
  8. Maintain an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning, inventory, and counting product accurately.
  9. Work well with all team members to grow the community and maintain a clean work area.
  10. Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
  11. Participates in required trainings.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Solid understanding of store operations required.
  • Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must have open availability and able to work all hours of operation.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stand for periods of time.

Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Experience:


  • High school diploma or GED certificate required.

Special Requirements:


  • A cell phone is required for employment, as access to applications and/or resources may be limited unless a cell phone is used for authentication.

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to use handheld computers for orders, mark downs, scan outs, and inventory.
  • Stand 100% of the time, frequently walking short distances.
  • Ability to push or pull up to 2000 pounds using a pallet jack or float.
  • Perform repetitive hand and arm motions.
  • Bend and lift products weighing up to 15lbs, continuously, 25lbs. frequently, and approximately 100lbs. on occasion.
  • Have sufficient visual ability to check invoices, dates, and other written documents.
  • Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning and packaging materials, and household cleaners.
  • Frequent reaching and grasping at waist level: occasionally above shoulder or below waist level.
  • Meet established volume activity standards for the position.
  • Tolerate working in extreme hot/cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time.
