Description This is a benefited, full time position working Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm. Located in the Cancer Treatment Room at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines in La Jolla. The primary location is at Encinitas, but the physicians also see patients in Jefferson, Rancho Bernardo, Hillcrest, and Torrey Pines as they feel it is imperative to offer their services across the county given their specialized skill set. What you'll do: This is a dual role with both clinical and administrative aspects Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician's practice Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person Collecting patient data in person and by phone Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review Administering medications specifically directed by the physician Scheduling of appointments and procedures Complete and accurate message taking Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics Qualifications Required Certification/Registration: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of experience working as Medical Assistant Job : Clinical Support Primary Location : Central San Diego County-LA JOLLA-SCRIPPS CANCER CENTER - TORREY PINES Work Locations : SCRIPPS CANCER CENTER - TORREY PINES 11025 NORTH TORREY PINES ROAD LA JOLLA 92037-1030 Organization : Scripps Clinic Job Posting : Sep 25, 2024, 2:35:42 PM Benefit Status : FT - FULL-TIME WITH BENEFITS Minimum Rate (USD) : 23.92 - Maximum Rate (USD) : 30.83 In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health posts the pay range for all jobs.
