Overview

The Business Sustainability and Technology Solutions team provides oversight of the Electric Operations cost-savings portfolio to achieve annual savings and establish a pipeline of working initiatives for future years. The role involves grassroots sourcing of optimization ideas, close coordination with initiative leads throughout Electric Operations to develop strategy, and the tracking and reporting of savings at both the initiative and portfolio levels. The team also serves as head of product for all Electric Operation tools created by ITs Digital Factory. The team guides Product Owners through product development & adoption to ensure products deliver both stakeholder needs and expected value.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document product requirements.
  • Analyze user needs and market trends to inform product development.
  • Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog.
  • Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications.
  • Facilitate communication between development teams, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product goals.
  • Work closely with UX designers to ensure a user-centric approach in product development.
  • Provide input on design decisions and user interface improvements.
  • Participate in sprint planning sessions and help prioritize tasks for development teams.
  • Track and report progress during sprint cycles.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure product quality.
  • Participate in testing processes and validate that features meet specified requirements.
  • Create and maintain documentation such as user guides and release notes.
  • Ensure documentation is up to date with the latest product features.
  • Gather feedback from users and stakeholders.
  • Use feedback to make informed decisions about product enhancements.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of product releases.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in product development.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the product team.
  • Identify potential risks to the product's success and work on mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and two years of related work experience. or
  • Associate's Degree and four years of related work experience.
Relevant Work Experience
  • Must have experience working on a team to deliver results. Required.
  • Must demonstrate experience as a self-started, with a willingness to learn, and a strong ability to creatively problem solve. Required.
  • Must have demonstrated experience with driving ideas from the point of conception to realized results. Required.
  • Willingness to take on new and unfamiliar project assignments based on changing needs. Required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and must be able to interfere with all levels of union and management personnel. Required.
  • Must possess strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Required.
  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis techniques and reporting (i.e SQL,Power BI, R, Python etc.). Required.
  • Experience with Business Process Modeling. Preferred.
  • Awareness of EO operations through previous work experience (either by being in EO or supporting EO departments). Preferred.

Additional Physical Demands
  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
