Our summer internships provide ambitious undergraduates the chance to gain real world experience in their field of study. We provide challenging, professional experience with a global corporation, where you learn from and work alongside Donaldson employees. This internship takes place at our global headquarters in Bloomington, MN, over a 10-12 week period.

This intern will work in the Applications Engineering team supporting Mobile Hydraulics within Donaldson Mobile Solutions. Daily responsibilities will include assisting application engineers with designing hydraulic filtration systems for new mobile equipment, help troubleshoot issues on existing mobile hydraulic filtration systems, and help deliver value-based filtration solutions to customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current undergraduate enrolled in an accredited program pursuing a bachelor's degree in one of the following: Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite programs: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in fluid mechanics work from either a prior internship/co-op/employment, or, in fluid dynamics university coursework
  • Exposure to, or, prior work experience with agricultural or construction equipment operation or service
  • Able to manage multiple tasks at a time, with an interest in utilizing and advancing project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Able to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities
  • Resourceful, goal-oriented, self-starter/directed
  • Intermediate-level experience (or greater) with Microsoft Excel
  • Minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA
