We are looking for a Data Office - Global Service Lead who is collaborative, innovative and analytical to join our Data Office team based onsite/ hybrid in either Raleigh, NC or Atlanta, GA

About the role

You will be responsible for both delivering and developing an operating model for services such as; data cataloging services, data quality services, reference data standards, and other services that enable UCB data lifecycle policy on a data asset within a business domain.

Who you'll work with

You will work closely with the Data Office team to ensure that UCB's data assets are properly managed throughout the data lifecycle policy through establishment of metadata and cataloging, ensuring all data is findable within UCB. In addition to providing services for findability, the role will deliver on those services that monitor and manage data quality within business domains. There is potential for this role to evolve into the management of a team.

What you'll do

  • Deliver services that establish a data catalog within a business domain and the associated data assets and their relationships.
  • Enforce data quality standards and processes to ensure that UCB's data assets are accurate, complete, and consistent.
  • Develop and maintain reference data standards that enable consistent and accurate data usage across UCB's business domains.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure that UCB's data assets are properly aligned with business objectives and data ownership within the domain is established.
  • Shape the service delivery model into a scalable solution for UCB's data needs.
  • Adhere to UCB data governance policies and processes that ensure UCB's data assets are properly managed and utilized.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data management and governance

Interested? For this role we're looking for the following experience and skills

  • Bachelors Degree with 5+ years data engineering or software development experience
  • Strong understanding of data cataloging, data quality, data security, and data privacy and reference data standards
  • Experience with data modeling, data architecture, and data engineering.
  • trong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

This positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is $160,000-$186,000. The actual salary offered will take into account related knowledge, skills, experience and location among other factors and may fall outside the expected range.
