An Aerodynamics Programmer job opportunity is open with our client in Hawthorne, CA . In this role you will be responsible for supporting a government sponsored simulation/feasibility study for a large mechanism that interacts with medium size UAVs. To be considered for this role you will have 2+ years of related experience with simulation programming in an aerodynamics/robotics environment and experience with aerodynamic calculations and modelling tools. Due to the nature of work at this facility, US Citizenship is required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Support a government sponsored simulation/feasibility study for a large mechanism that interacts with medium size UAVs.
* Responsible for building of a small-scale model on the mechanical side and then the simulation of the entire system from end to end.
* Support the aerodynamic modeling of the flight/stall characteristics of the UAV and design of the dynamics of the mechanism.
* Responsible for aerodynamic calculations and modeling of the dynamics of the vehicle.
* Participate in tech stack recommendation process.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* 2+ years of related experience with simulation programming in an aerodynamics/robotics environment
* Experience with aerodynamic calculations and modelling tools
* Experience with MATLAB or related tools, excited about the numbers and designing control loops.
* Some robotics experience is helpful for understanding how the mechanisms will work
* Ability to make tech stack recommendations
