JLL is seeking a HVAC Mechanic to join our team! The incumbent is required to monitor/repair HVAC equipment and systems providing continuous operations at our client site, utilizing automation controls, alarm systems and local controls.
Primary Duties: Performs operations, repairs, and maintenance of all HVAC equipment and any systems that deal with heating ventilation and air conditioning to include the following critical systems: chillers, air handling units, cooling towers, HEPA systems, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, VAV boxes and other mechanical HVAC systems. Perform all work using the proper safety equipment and operate in a safe and efficient manner. Respond to a wide range of mechanical and electrical problems and ability to troubleshoot and repair. Performs predictive, planned, preventative and reactive maintenance as well as conducting equipment rounds and service requests as directed. Performs maintenance in accordance with the CMMS plans. Assist with the development and improvement of preventative maintenance programs, schedules, work instructions and standard operating procedures. Ability to perform visual and operational inspection of associated equipment and interprets specifications, blueprints and job standards to perform assigned duties. Recommends measures to improve equipment performance and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the site. Provide general labor services throughout all areas maintained by the Facilities department including cleaning and organization of designated work areas. Successfully complete training and demonstrate an ability to perform equipment monitoring and operational checks on equipment. Complies with JLL policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintains all codes, laws and regulations through the JLL compliance program. Maintains a clean and safe workplace. Interact with others in a team environment as well as other internal / external customers. Team player with the desire to foster teamwork to help create a positive working environment. Be able to work independently. Actively participates in technical and safety training programs. Performs additional duties as directed. Job Requirements Demonstrating the proper use and care of tools and instruments. Must be able to read and understand mechanical blue prints and electrical schematics. Have experience with building/system control systems. Have experience with boilers and their associated steam delivery systems along with the automation controls that drive them. EPA Universal 608 (Ability to obtain within 6 months of employment) and valid drivers license required. Knowledge and Skills Have knowledge of the basic PC skills along with common applications associated with interoffice communication. Experience in oral and written communications in a concise and timely manner. Experience using applications on mobile devices. Great customer service kills. Work Environment Work with hazardous materials and chemicals. Work dayshift hours. Work overtime when necessary. Lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights to perform job functions as needed. Crawl, kneel and stoop and work in small spaces. Ability to work in controlled radiological environments. Education / Experience Minimum of a high school diploma and trade school or apprentice program. 4+ years of experience with HVAC systems. Electrical and/or Mechanical licenses preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. Have working knowledge of CMMS systems is preferred. Experience with BAS & Honeywell systems preferred. |
