APS Palo Verde is looking forNuclear Regulatory Affairs (Environmental) Summer Intern to join their team in Tonopah, AZ The APSNuclear Regulatory Affairs (Environmental) Summer Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience, developing, practicing, and learning business, engineering, information systems, and fundamentals within the Nuclear Regulatory Affairs organization. Students will apply their knowledge and problem solving abilities in support of long-term station environmental projects and ensuring station compliance with federal regulations. This internship is designed to provide exposure to the environmental regulatory landscape environmental processes, and the day-to-day activities involved in ensuring nuclear facility compliance. The Palo Verde Summer internship is a paid 10-week program, starting in May, ending in July. During the 10 weeks at Palo Verde, you will be equipped with the tools needed to thrive and be challenged with meaningful individual and group projects. You will get support from leaders who will help you succeed. Interns will also have the opportunity to participate in a New Hire Orientation, Professional Development opportunities and company tours to learn more about Palo Verde and Arizona Public Service. Major Accountabilities
1) Performs simple to intermediate data analysis and field work. May assist in preparing business/engineering plans, cost estimates, evaluations and studies. Nuclear requirement
Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member.
