Under limited direction, the incumbent is responsible for the development and execution of marketing plans and tactics, for their assigned business or support groups. The development of these plans requires thorough knowledge of the functional areas involved, the competitive environment, leading marketing practices within the space and familiarity with the financials, goals and objectives of the units assigned. In addition the incumbent is responsible for working directly with the senior leadership of the business/functional units in order to understand their priorities and strategic objectives, situational opportunities and to provide timely support for their initiatives and market opportunities.

The incumbent needs to possess a practical understanding of the area they support, at an industry and market level, allowing them to quickly identify marketing opportunities that support unit objectives. The incumbents knowledge needs to include a practical understanding of products, services or solutions provided, the functional units incentive structure, market conditions, competition, etc. The incumbent needs to have the ability to manage the execution of the tactical plans that developed in support of annual business objectives, balancing competing priorities and changing conditions across the regional footprint of the organization.

The incumbent needs to develop and maintain strong relationships across a wide range of constituents, including business/functional unit leaders, to front line colleagues as well as with key internal partners including Public Relations, Operations/IT, Legal/Compliance and the other Marketing support functions (Creative Services, research, analysis, tracking and reporting (RATR), , e-Commerce, etc.) Key responsibilities also include managing the development and tracking of goals and objectives for individual initiatives, working with internal partners to correlate marketing programs with functional unit goals and objectives. The incumbent must have proven aptitude and success in the development and execution of campaigns, promotions and other related marketing programs, managing against budgetary limitations and adaptability to changing conditions.

Operates in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering requirements. Responsible to report any procedure or process that doesnt meet regulatory requirements including fraud, whether suspected or confirmed, to management. This reporting can be done directly to any member of management, including Human Resources or Corporate Security, or can be reported through Associateds anonymous Ethics Hotline.

Provide access to all Corporate Marketing functions and expertise, including RATR, Creative Services, and e-Commerce Marketing
Directly responsible for the acquisition, retention and deepening of relationships with customers through effective marketing within assigned business units - the Marketing Manager is accountable for the lines of business or functional groups ability to reach their goals. 
Integration into client group operations, ensuring clear understanding of business priorities and issues.
Supporting role in the development and execution of promotions and campaigns for the supported area across all regions. 
Implementation and successful execution of marketing programs across all channels. 
Execution includes, under the direction of the Director, the launching and management of promotions, campaigns or initiatives, monitoring the performance against objectives (in partnership with cross-functional partners and department peers) including the tracking, reporting and formal post-campaign analysis in partnership with the RATR team.
The position requires the coordination of communications with key audiences which may include front line colleagues as well as internal partners, to ensure successful execution.
Integration of supported lines of business with the Associated Bank corporate brand and ensuring that the areas value proposition is maintained in order to support the brand positioning statement and four brand attributes, while still meeting the unique communication needs of the business line/functional area.

-Develop and implement effective annual marketing plans for the assigned business units that directly support their annual tactical objectives and sales goals.
-Manage marketing activities in the daily execution of marketing programs/campaigns; direct response/digital initiatives, and other go-to-market strategies.
-Working with key partners, facilitate and oversee the analysis of the customer/client and prospect universe within assigned business units in order to provide strategic insight and market opportunities for the lines of business:
a.Identifying and targeting optimal prospects and customers
b.Execute advertising promotions that deliver against financial and production expectations
c.Manage marketing programs to capitalize on identified opportunities
d.Utilize market research to inform lines of business as to customer priorities and market opportunities

-Ensure channel message integrity for all lines of business, ensuring continuity of message and focus.
-Effectively managing internal and external partnerships
-Work with regional management to develop and manage focused marketing support when needed in order to increase the profile and results in strategically identified regions.

Education Level

Bachelor's Degree Marketing, Communications or related experience Required

Master's Degree Marketing, Communications, or related experience Preferred

Experience Level

7-10 years Marketing experience, either within a mid-tier financial services company or equivalent marketing experience in a related industry (advertising agency, database marketing firms, etc.) Required 

4-7 years Experience in the creation, development, execution, and tracking of holistic marketing programs. Required
