Marketing Operations Associate San Francisco

About the Team:

Marketing Operations at MuleSoft is transforming how we market and sell by optimizing our state-of-the-art marketing stack that has fueled our explosive growth. MuleSoft is looking for an analytical and revenue-minded  Marketing Operations Associate to drive world-class marketing operations based in our San Francisco office.

About the Position:

The Marketing Operations Associate will have the opportunity to learn first-hand how to establish and maintain the marketing automation system and its governance, associated processes and best practices, and act as a global center of excellence collaborating with the digital marketing, campaign, field marketing and account development functions.

You will also oversee the efficient administration of our marketing technology ranging from marketing automation, analytics and BI, ad technology, the database and downstream system interactions with our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exemplary service to internal customers such as sales, marketing program managers and executives as needed
  • Troubleshoot and QA campaigns, workflows, data issues and other key marketing ops functions
  • Provide input in defining, mapping and documenting key marketing processes
  • Prioritize and execute on projects from marketing and sales to facilitate revenue growth - implement projects involving diverse & complex data relationships
  • Uphold our data governance/enhancement for leads and any marketing campaign related data

Analytics and reporting:

  • Leverage (please use the apply button below) and Marketo for lead campaign & program tracking and analysis
  • Create dashboards and reports to support sales & marketing operations and measure all aspects of our marketing lead generation engine: database cleanliness, campaign effectiveness, pipeline contribution, overall business performance
  • Track ROI of marketing activities to ensure effectiveness and continued investment

Position Deliverables:

30 days:

  • Come up to speed on our revenue funnel progressions
  • Learn the components of our technology stack
  • Shadow the team to understand our processes

60 days:

  • Support marketing and sales campaigns with best practice operational configurations
  • Perform a lead database refresh - removing bad data

90 days:

  • Build a contact washing machine to standardize key Lead/Contact status values
  • Deliver new program template library for field marketing - tokenized to full extent and limit user error

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a technical field
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation
  • User of advanced marketing automation systems like Marketo or Eloqua
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with changing priorities
  • Logical, organized problem solving
  • The ability to synthesize data, summarize issues, and think outside the box is essential
