Job Description

As a Sr. Business Systems Analyst on the Sales Systems Team, you will own the and lead the coordination, planning, and end to end execution of all system related initiatives and projects that comprise and support Workdays Sales Operations & Sales Administrative Strategy.    

In this role, you will align with functional business leaders across Sales Operations, Deals Management, Renewals and Pricing to execute and represent them in the following ways to ensure scalable and efficient capabilities:

  • Prioritize and manage a backlog by gathering enhancement & project requests
  • Own projects & initiatives programmatically to ensure success criteria and timelines are met
  • Engage in vendor management activities to develop strong partnerships and best practices
  • Frequently dissect business problems and provide management with thoughtful process recommendations
  • Invest considerable time gathering and documenting detailed business requirements
  • Engage with IT (Enterprise Applications/Information Technology) to knowledge transfer requirements
  • Work closely with IT or external vendors on design decisions and direction
  • Own and coordinate comprehensive and hands on testing plans and end-user (UAT) feedback
  • Develop end user training materials and support initiative rollout & enablement
  • Provide frequent communication of project status and outlook
  • Support manual system processes or tasks as needed
  • Receive and review reported issues and own them through resolution

The above responsibilities will be primarily focused on the Operational Systems & Process Portfolio which comprises the following functional areas and how Sales Organizations leverages them:

  • Opportunity Lifecycle Process
  • Compensation & Data Capture Process
  • Pricing & Programs (CPQ)
  • Proposals and Approvals (CPQ)
  • Order Form & Contract Management Process
  • Customer Accounts & License Data Capture
  • Renewal Process & Customer Tru-up Process (Assets)
  • Miscellaneous & Custom Features & Capabilities supporting Sales Process


  • Passionate about creating positive change and impact through systems, process, and people improvements.
  • Team player not afraid to take on a challenge, complex problems, or learn new topics or logic.
  • Experience in a High-Technology, High-Growth, or High Paced environment or organization preferred .
  • 3 to 7 years of functional or technical experience with complicated Quote-to-Contract processes and application(s) in an analyst, ownership or implementer (ex: solution architect) capacity preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience leveraging (please use the apply button below) ideally in a system or analyst capacity required.
  • Experience with system or deal approval processes preferred, including moderately complex logic.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  • A proven track record leading small to large sized projects and initiatives from requirements to go-live.
  • Prior experience working with a variety of Sales Operations functions such as: Order Management, Pricing, Renewals required .
  • Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills required (must be able to present recommendations).
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required, advanced a plus.
  • Experience with (please use the apply button below) Reports, Dashboards, and Sales Forecasting a plus.
  • Experience working with Finance and Legal teams in Enterprise B2B markets a plus. 
  • Experience with data loaders, API tools, or system administrator experience a plus.
  • Experience with Sales Enablement or Sales Effectiveness Tools and Applications a plus.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills. 

In addition to the above responsibilities focused on operational systems, you will be supported by and support others on the Sales Systems team based on strategic priorities ranging from Operational Systems to Sales Enabling Systems to Administrative Process to Planning & Analytical Capabilities.  The Sales Systems Team is focused on developing dedicated analysts in these areas but will continue to work collectively to scale and support the success of each other and the collect team deliverables.
