The Gemini Advertising Account Specialist and Gemini Self-Serve team works hard to effectively and efficiently sell and service the ever-growing advertiser base for Yahoo Gemini. 

We specialize in helping un-managed Gemini advertisers successfully utilize their advertising accounts for the greatest impact on their business success and online presence.    

A Lot About You

As a Gemini Account Specialist, you play a central role in positively impacting the overall experience of Yahoo's Gemini small-business advertisers by providing world-class support and consultation.  In this role, you are the face of Yahoo to the customer.  You listen to their concerns and partner with them to identify timely solutions and key optimization opportunities that can help maximize their success with Yahoo.  

You will engage these customers to determine additional opportunities and Yahoo products to drive customer value.  This is a revenue-generating role that requires almost constant customer engagement through multiple channels, including phone calls and emails. 

The successful Gemini Account Specialist is someone who can turn the most difficult situations into wins, effectively problem solve, and add value to customer and Yahoo with every interaction.   

Your Day

  • Consistently meet or exceed quotas. 

  • Consistently meet or exceed non-quota based performance metrics as defined by the company. 
  • Effectively communicate the benefits of the Yahoo Gemini product offerings.
  • Efficiently identify advertiser needs. 

  • Apply Yahoo services via phone presentations to the advertiser's needs.
  • Effectively communicate to clients as part of an outbound call/email activity, the benefits of the Yahoo Gemini product offerings. 

  • Maintain a level of customer service that is acceptable by the company. 
  • Record comprehensive records in a Yahoo provided CRM system.
  • Attend all required training sessions provided by Yahoo and its contractors. 

  • Effectively work with internal Yahoo teams and external partners to maximize the customer experience. 

    You Must Have

  • Proactive and highly-motivated individual who can produce high-quality deliverables 

  • Independent work with the demonstrated capability to lead, motivate and work well with others 
  • Strong influence management, negotiation and customer service skills and ability to de-escalate difficult interactions 
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal communication and computer skills (e.g., advanced Excel, CRM systems) 

  • 2 - 3 years experience in a sales, customer support, account management or consulting
  • Schedule flexibility 
  • Bachelor's Degree
