Job Description

The Operations Training team exists to provide training and organization development for Allstate Benefits.

Initiates and directs critical communications and multimedia functions, resources and work plans for Allstate Benefits. Manages and performs the planning and implementation of training/communications projects for all areas of responsibility within Allstate Benefits.

 

This part of the organization focuses on training assets and other digital properties for specific business units that enhance the enterprise’s ability to deliver a rich, relevant communications experience to Allstate Benefits employees, prospects and customers. The team, within Allstate Benefits Training, designs, implements and maintains learning resources and documentation, formal training communications, presentations and online solutions for products, processes and systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct management responsibility for the Training Communications team
  • Directs less experienced staff and leads project teams
  • Oversees and evaluates direct reports to ensure department goals are met.
  • Coach and develop team members.
  • Creates, implements and measures internal/external communication plans as it relates to our training initiatives
  • Develops key messages to drive engagement
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Contributes to strategic decision making
  • Leads, initiates ideas and actions on cross-functional teams
  • Presents concepts and final work product to senior executive leadership
  • Works with high level of independence

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Communications/Public Relations concentration preferred
  • 5 – 7 years of marketing, communications and/or public relations experience is required
  • Insurance and/or financial services industry knowledge a plus
  • Advanced experience using Microsoft suite and SharePoint
  • Proven leadership/management skills within a corporate setting
  • Expert knowledge of written communications and communication planning
  • Advanced presentation development and delivery skills
  • High level expertise of organization and project/program management skills
  • Developed negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to function strategically and work with others across the enterprise
  • Intermediate strategic and analytic skills

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
