Position Summary:

We are looking for energetic engineering students who want to develop their career in the Software Test Engineering function and be part of a collaborative team that loves innovation. Test engineering is a challenging field that spans multiple disciplines and touches every product. January 2018 and May 2018 start dates available.

As a co-op you are an essential part of the team and work hand in hand with engineers. A senior-level mentor will be assigned to support your professional growth and to ease the transition into the professional work environment.

If you want to become well versed in proven test engineering and automation techniques and become comfortable in a professional environment then this is the place for you.

Our goal is to prepare students to compete for an entry-level test position upon graduation.

 

Essential Functions:
 

  • Works with software, firmware, hardware, and/or process engineers while learning about and executing software product testing.
  • Performs entry-level software testing functions including, but not limited to, test design, execution, automation, and anomaly reporting.
  • Assures that developed products meet requirements and are within total quality management standards.
  • Will be exposed to a variety of testing methodologies and tools, including manual and automated test.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, and exposure to software development or test methodologies.

  • College sophomore level or above; studying computer science, computer engineering or software engineering at an accredited 4 year college or university.
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Basic knowledge of  C++, C#,  Java, Python or other scripting languages.
  • Basic knowledge of Object Oriented Design and Analysis (OOD/OOA). 
  • Legal Authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this job opening.
