Position Summary:

The engineering intern assists experienced motor control engineers with product development and research tasks that are within their capability. Example work includes: Simulink modeling of servo drive/motor subsystems, lab testing, prototype evaluation, technology investigations, and small design projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications

  • Sophomore/Junior undergraduate or graduate student in EE/CS/CE
  • Coursework in drives, power electronics, and control systems
  • Experience with Simulink or similar software
  • Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with motion control systems or power conversion equipment
  • Experience with firmware programming using C/C++
  • Experience with industrial automation environments including PLC programming
  • Graduate student studying drives, motors, power electronics, and/or control systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
