Principal is looking for an experienced Data Modeler / Data Analyst to join our team supporting our Life Division.  If you have passion for DATA and a desire to drive quality data solutions within a data driven culture, then read on to learn more about this opportunity!  

We are looking for the right individual who would be interested and enjoy the opportunity to design data/BI solutions, strong willingness to learn and build data skills through team collaboration, desire to drive and execute on our data strategy, willing to help mature our agile practices, and is looking for an opportunity to embrace technical and informal leadership roles on the team.

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science, technology, engineering, or math related field or equivalent work experience (strongest candidates would have a Data-focused degree)
  • 3+ yrs of formal or informal Data Modeling or Data Requirements experience
  • Excellent communication/inter-personal skills (leadership, mentoring, coaching, collaboration, influence)
  • 3+ yrs of exposure/experience with SQL

Nice to have technical skills (but not required):

  • Experience with Data Modeling tools (we use ERwin, PowerDesigner)
  • Experience with ETL tools (we use Informatica)
  • Experience with BI tools (we use Microstrategy, SAS, Business Objects)
  • Experience with Data Virtualization (Denodo, etc.)
  • Data Structured design, or Data Solutioning
  • Experience with Agile/Lean methods
  • Exposure to cloud computing technology
  • Experience integrating with vendor application
