Position Summary:
Position Summary
Mechanical Hardware development interns are responsible for tasks and projects under the direction of lead development engineers that are focused on the development, design, analysis, testing, prototyping, and release of mechanical hardware for automation control products.
 
Primary duties can include:
 

  • Design and analyze components and automation systems
  • Product specification
  • Modify existing designs for improvement
  • Tolerance stack analysis
  • Product testing and certification
  • Process improvement activities
  • 3D prototyping
  • Development of simulation tools
  • Cost reduction analysis
  • Update drawings

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
 

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Must be working towards a bachelor's of science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Electro Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with Pro-E or equivalent
  • Rockwell Automation will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.

  • Previous internship or co-op experience
