    GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


     

    • Provide around the world expeditionary maintenance team support for Naval Expeditionary Combat Craft (NECC) and industrial oversight for US Navy small boats.


     



    • GENERAL DUTIES:
    •  
    • Conducts inspections or examinations of US Navy small boats and systems to assess, monitor and report the condition during daily operations and maintenance availabilities.
    • Conduct planned and corrective maintenance procedures and troubleshoot equipment/system failures to the root cause.
    • Conduct and document planned O level and corrective maintenance procedures up to I level and perform expeditionary repairs associated with operational testing and certification in the Navy maintenance system.
    • Conduct or assist in the on-the-job training (OJT) of the operating unit maintenance personnel on planned and corrective maintenance procedures and processes.
    • Provide material assessment evaluations to the deployed unit and NECC.
    • Provides quality oversight for industrial availabilities.
    • Troubleshoot systems, conduct preventive and repair maintenance and oversight of installations on various Navy small boats.
    • Perform work with a minimum of supervisory assistance and in compliance with prior engineering determination.
    • Experience in small boat operations to include navigation, engineering, weapons, communications, and overall craft maintenance.
    • Provide technical assistance for preventive and corrective maintenance on main engines and auxiliary equipment installed.
    • Incorporate daily task direction directly from client and can work without supervision.
    • Available for CONUS and OCONUS travel.


     




    MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS :


     

    • NECC small boat operational and maintenance experience and knowledge required.
    • Hands-on Hull, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics technical experience
    • Familiarity with the installation of electrical and mechanical components including but not limited to boat alterations for security systems, instrumentation, cabling, gauges and sensors, radars, external speakers, depth sounders, sonar, cabin and deck lighting, engines, pumps and shore power.
    • Skilled in troubleshooting and promptly taking corrective action in accordance with technical documentation.
    • Reading and interpreting blueprints and bills of materials.
    • Drawing simple schematics/wiring diagrams.
    • Strong communication, written and documentation skills.
    • Be able to multi-task in high stress situations.
    • Extensive attention to detail, ability to multi-task and the drive to take ownership in one's work.
    • Passport
    • Active Security Clearance


     


    PREFERRED:


     

    • MTU Diesel engine operation, diagnostic, and troubleshooting experience.
    • Hamilton Jet Modular Electronics Control System (MECS) operation and troubleshooting experience.
    • Navy Small boat electronics, communications, and navigation equipment operation and troubleshooting experience.
    • MK VI Platform Experience.


     


     




    SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:


     

    • Applicant will be subject to a security investigation and must maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.


     




    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


     

    • CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift up to 30 lbs.
    • Employee is required to access remote areas of multi-level vessels
    • Must comply with Company's Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles
