The Manager, Corporate Communications position is a full-time employment opportunity located in Dallas, TX. We are hiring a Manager, Corporate Communications who will support the Head of Corporate Communications and PR in developing and implementing internal and external communications strategies and programs that engage employees in the companys business objectives, mission, and values; create new communications tools to support critical corporate initiatives, issues and updates; and effectively utilize communications to help the company reach its most important goals and objectives.

Job Tasks:

  • Develop detailed communications plans for initiatives that support critical company initiatives, including change management projects, employee engagement initiatives, values-based communications, and organization news
  • Partner with HR and develop and execute robust, comprehensive employee communications that support engagement, retention, diversity and inclusion, employee achievements, community relations, benefits, recruiting, training, and development
  • Write, edit and proofread engaging communications (including press releases, blogs, web site content, media responses, intranet content, and more) that balance creativity, clarity, and brand integrity
  • Serve as a key member of the crisis communications team and assist in creating prompt and appropriate responses to challenging media inquiries and social media discussions with respect and professionalism, ensuring brand guidelines and company reputation are protected
  • Serve as a communications business partner, collaborating with leadership at all levels and across all departments to ensure communications are effective and integrated
  • Drive creation of new communications tools (including multimedia and video) to build momentum and awareness for key corporate initiatives
  • Manage projects related to the company-wide PR strategy, and oversee the execution and tactical details for media relations, press releases, pitching, interview schedules, and publication submission deadlines
  • Support the ongoing evolution of our employee intranet, including strategy development, design, and future enhancement planning
  • Create a strategic plan for measurement, tracking, and reporting of thought leadership programs and earned media placements
  • Develop junior team members and provide mentorship to improve writing, editing, proofreading and other communications skills

Required Skills:

  • 4 to 6 + years of experience in corporate, employee and/or internal communications, public/media relations, or similar experience, at least 50%+ directly as part of corporate communications department
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities. Must be detail-oriented with an unwavering commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Proven ability in strategic communication planning is required, including identifying key messages, tailoring content to specific audiences, and creating effective content to meet communications goals
  • Experience in intranet management, including understanding of usability and user experience design (card sorting, best-practices for web site usability, readability, white space, scanning)
  • Know ledge of current and emerging communications and technology approaches (social media, web tools, video, infographics, etc.) to enable and improve internal communications
  • Expertise in developing communications measurement and reporting to ensure effectiveness of communications programs
  • Ability to build and foster collaborative relationships with other departments and leadership within the organization
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to maintain a positive attitude when responding to challenges
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate a willingness to roll up your sleeves and contribute in whatever way is required to ensure the success of the project
