Position Information:

The Communications/PR contractor supports external communications programs for Teladoc Health including developing PR materials, writing social media copy, managing public announcements, drafting executive briefings, conducting research and compiling summary reports. The position works with communications team staff, as well as representatives from other corporate functions and businesses, to create strategic and creative communications content that successfully conveys Teladoc Health's ongoing efforts to transform the healthcare experience. This engagement is intended to last 4-6 months.

Additional Details About the Role:

  • Develops public relations materials including press releases, fact sheets, media alerts, news pitches and other externally facing materials.
  • Manages public announcements including arranging and supporting executive spokesperson briefings, developing and executing simple communications rollout plans, issuing press releases on the news wire, managing inbound media calls, coordinating with internal teams including those managing digital/web strategy and sales/client communications.
  • Conducts web-based research on topics related to upcoming corporate announcements to ensure ongoing team awareness of the news environment and gathering data to enhance communications content creation.
  • Assists with the compilation of summaries and reports on communications activities for purposes of team tracking and executive updates.
  • Interacts with external stakeholders including the media under the guidance of full-time communications team members to provide administrative and informational support in service to key audiences.
  • Supports as needed other corporate communications activities including employee communications, social media content creation, public relations event management and executive communications support.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in English, journalism, or communications a plus
  • Proven results in designing and implementing Fortune 500-level corporate communications strategies and tactics.
  • Strong news judgement and writing skills to craft compelling narratives and arguments.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Solid time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and pitch in as part of a growing team.
  • Prefer at least 5-7 years of experience in corporate communications or PR agency environment
