Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (Deloitte Global) provides services to Deloitte member firms across the globe. DTTL personnel work on complex business projects that connect and serve Deloitte member firm practitioners across the world. The Global Pursuit CoE (PCoE) is a DTTL Center of Excellence within Global Risk Advisory that enables member firm account teams to identify, shape, win and monitor the most significant opportunities at our most strategic accounts.

The PCoE is currently searching for a pre-sales solution architect who will be a key member of a specialized global Cyber Deal Team responsible for driving sales and pursuit activities for Cyber. Specifically, the pre-sales solution architect will provide hands-on support throughout the deal lifecycle and help pursuit teams develop compelling, cross-business solutions for our most important Cyber targets at Deloitte. This will include skillful facilitation and collaboration across a large global network of professionals to draw out the optimal solution. This role will have the opportunity to have a significant impact in the growth of Deloitte's global Cyber business.

Responsibilities

  • Sales and pursuit activities:
    • Work closely with client pursuit teams in their targeting efforts, in collaboration with fellow sales and pursuit professionals
    • Support the client pursuit team to understand the client problem; facilitate the process to pull in the right people to architect technically compelling solutions
    • Help in the development of the detailed components of the solution including the work plan, schedule, spend estimate and resource plan
    • Serve as a trusted coach to the client pursuit team by challenging technical teams' thinking and influencing solution strategies and outcomes
    • Actively participate in preparing the client pursuit team for client demos, workshops and oral presentations - helping them to present complex topics to highly technical audiences as well as C-level stakeholders
    • Provide hands-on support throughout the lifecycle of the bid pursuit
  • Community building and eminence:
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Deloitte's Cyber solutions, as well as a reasonable understanding of other solutions provided by Deloitte, and understand how they all come together to create compelling and differentials options for our clients
    • Build and maintain cross-border and cross-business networks to facilitate collaboration on large complex deals where multiple parts of the firm are involved
    • Play an active part in the global Cyber community and beyond to drive collaboration in our sales activities
    • Be knowledgeable about marketplace trends, competitors, tools and techniques that teams can leverage to win deals

Skills/experience required

  • Strong technical and/or sales background in Cyber
  • Experience in driving sales activities across the full lifecycle of a deal
  • Experience coaching and challenging senior teams with demonstrable track-record of influencing deal outcomes
  • Strategic, commercial-oriented thinker
  • Extremely strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • An ability to be flexible and adapt to new methods and ideas, attention to detail, pro-active, collaborative, team player, diplomacy
  • Understanding of business dynamics including brand, business functions, regions, cultural differences, industries etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize activities and stay focused in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%) to work on-site with pursuit teams as needed
