MuleSoft Manager, Global Corporate Marketing

MuleSoft is hiring for a newly created global corporate marketing manager role. You will combine the power of storytelling, research and writing to translate complex topics into concise messaging that resonate with CIOs and IT leaders. This position is a unique hybrid, focusing primarily on leading our thought leadership content program, product PR and tier 1 media relations program. You will also be part of an exciting initiative to launch a new research program to build and scale data-driven thought leadership. 

In this position, you will use your strong writing skills to find ways to turn difficult technology concepts into everyday language that even a grandparent or 10-year-old can understand. Youll geek out on data, data, data " leveraging your analytical skills to create a compelling story around powerful numbers. And you will get excited working with team members from across the company " you will collaborate and communicate effectively to MuleSofts top senior executives and work cross-functionally with internal teams, including Digital Marketing, Integrated Campaigns, Content Marketing, Product Marketing and Customer Success teams. This role comes with a high level of executive visibility " so you are someone who doesnt shy away from voicing your POV and guiding executives. Youll unite cross-functional stakeholders and team members behind our global communications strategy that directly influences the pipeline and impacts the business. 

As part of the MuleSoft Corporate Communications team, you will have the opportunity to help evolve and accelerate the global communications strategy and execution, as well as create new programs that broaden visibility of MuleSoft and its products. You will play an integral role in raising MuleSofts awareness, reporting to the head of global PR to deliver against MuleSofts key strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

Content program

  • Spearhead the strategy, development and execution of global content programs

  • Identify opportunities for alignment between communications programs and ongoing integrated marketing campaigns

  • Drive awareness and advocate use of thought leadership content with internal teams from marketing to sales to events

Research program

  • Develop, manage and execute research campaigns that produce credible and thought-provoking insights focused on our industry and topics that our customers care about, as well as bold claims to establish our market leadership 

  • Partner with Digital Marketing team to promote research content to support pipe generation objectives

Product PR & tier 1 media relations

  • Understand MuleSofts brand and product positioning with the ability to ensure consistent, on-brand messaging in press and thought leadership content

  • Lead product PR launches, partnering closely with Product Marketing and Salesforce PR teams

  • Craft compelling messages and stories to help frame technology conversations with relevant press that result in meaningful coverage in tier 1 business and industry publications

  • Collaborate with our agency partners to build new and/or expand existing thought leadership campaigns to support product messaging and launches

About you:

  • 5-9+ years experience in B2B marketing or relevant experience.

  • Exceptional writing skills with experience communicating complex topics effectively and creating a range of content, from press releases to bylines to presentation decks, within the enterprise technology landscape.

  • Outstanding project management skills with experience driving deliverables cross-functionally.

  • Critical thinker with analytical skills " able to derive compelling insights from data and incorporate them into our storytelling.

  • The do-what-it-takes mindset to lead a cross-functional team of stakeholders and drive execution across multiple workstreams.

  • Proven track record of effectively managing integrated campaigns and multiple projects to ensure high-quality content is delivered according to plan

  • Self-starter with fanatical attention to detail who can work well both independently and as part of a team that is growing in size, scope and geography.

  • Excellence in crafting a compelling story to pitch for tier 1 business and tech press placement (media relations experience is a nice-to-have but not a requirement).

  • Ability to balance, prioritize and deliver excellent results under tight deadlines within budget constraints.

  • Ability to work under pressure and comfortable with change and ambiguity.

Preferred:

  • Experience writing content for Content Marketing or Demand Generation team

  • Experience working for an enterprise tech company 

  • Bachelor degree BS/BA required. MBA preferred
