Temporary HR Project Manager (Senior Generalist)

Job Description Summary

Temporary resource from November 2020 through May 2021 to support Americas Market and Global HR Function through our year-end process, COVID-19 protocols, general larger scale HR projects, as well as HR leadership support. Ideal candidate can drive for results through informal influence, direct action and project management. The successful candidate will be expected to roll up their sleeves to help drive work to completion.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Determines and discerns detailed requirements on larger scale HR projects to establish the project deliverables, and manages changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs to keep the project management plan updated and reflective of authorized project changes (e.g. Year-end, COVID-19, etc.)
  • Identifies and manages project and program interdependencies
  • Act as a point of escalation when project issues arise; roll up their sleeves to help drive work to completion.
  • Interact with all levels of the organization: senior leaders within HR and partner functions, HRBP & COE resources, product owners, business analysts, technology architects, business system analysts, technical application leads, outside consultants, vendors and other key stakeholders inside and outside of the company
  • Establishes and maintains team members and project stakeholder relationships, expectations, and communications
  • Manage stakeholder needs and effectively negotiate tradeoffs between scope, schedule, and participation
  • Balance needs of multiple stakeholders and gain buy-in from groups who may be resistant to change
  • Develops and manages project risk and issue management plans
  • Analyzes risks by probability and severity to assess their impact on project delivery
  • Implements procedures to mitigate risk threats
  • Creates performance and status reports for relevant stakeholders as needed
  • Creates and edits project communication assets and coordinates with internal communications teams to broadcast targeted messaging of projects and initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years project management experience
  • 5+ years of project management disciplines, best practices and artifacts
  • 5+ years of hands-on HR experience managing HR related projects of increasing complexity
  • Experienced with HR data systems (Workday)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to compile and analyze data
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of data
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to explain data and metrics to non-technical audiences

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business admin or a similar field
  • 5+ years broad HR experience, understanding of each discipline
