This role is a critical part of the Product Marketing function. We are a group of creative technologists that live at the intersection of engineering and storytelling. Whether it's a minor release or a new product launch, we steer the GTM strategy - from defining the core message to getting the company enabled and aligned to it.

Reporting to our VP of Product Marketing!

We're looking to add a new node to our cluster, passionate about defining and driving our GTM strategy for our core verticals, in collaboration with Product Marketing across the Elastic portfolio. You will be responsible for all aspects of Vertical Marketing in service to our GTM efforts, working closely with Sales and Partners to land and expand our value in enterprise accounts.


  • Provides thought leadership around market trends in the top verticals
  • Understands the process and difficulty required to develop outcome-based messaging and content that aligns to our corporate messaging targeting a C-level audience
  • Brings excellent leadership and cross-function teamwork to the company, interfaces effectively with Product, Sales, Marketing and Partners
  • Owning GTM in our top industry verticals - making our core messages vertically relevant and elevate them to, you guessed it, the C-level audience
  • Understands the power of community in an open source environment
  • Defines end-to-end GTM plan with measurable critical metrics against key goals; reporting on key initiatives at the company level
  • Build, curate, and present compelling content for consumption on the Web, press releases, executive briefings, blogs, and sales enablement
  • Represent the company at various speaking engagements, conferences and press interviews

What You Will Bring

Being successful will require you to bring to Elastic relevant domain expertise - validated, and proven experience in Cloud technologies, search, infrastructure monitoring, DevOps and related technologies. In detail, we would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Vertical industry GTM expertise
  • Well respected leader who has led teams in either product marketing or vertical marketing functions
  • Proven track record leading outbound product initiatives passionate about enterprise customers with sophisticated requirements
  • Creative energy, courage to throw out the playbook, and out of the box thinking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Experienced public speaker.
  • Technically savvy with regards to our products, solutions, industries we play in and capable of learning very quickly
  • Comfortable working in a very cross-functional role with a highly distributed team
  • Sales enablement experience is a must
