The National Restaurant Association is looking for a proven and innovative Senior Developer, to play an integral role as we make our way through an exciting digital transformation. As a highly collaborative member of our technology team, you will be contributing to development of our new digital platform as well as maintenance of existing applications/processes.

Ideal candidates are highly detail-oriented and adaptable, with strong analytical skills; bring minimum five years of experience in Information Technology as an Application Developer. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge (please use the apply button below) development and SQL.  

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and implement business applications using current technologies.
  • Collaborate with other developers, project managers, architects, business analysts and other departments to help develop solutions.
  • Ensure successful completion of projects that meet requirements following established agile process.
  • Document system/process flows.
  • Analyze existing software solutions and recommend improvements or alternatives. 
  • Provide support to maintain existing applications.
  • Keep current on technology industry trends.
  • Participate in Team Code Reviews.
  • Assist other developers with tasks, best practices, troubleshooting, estimation, testing and documentation.
  • Other projects or duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 4 years Bachelor's degree required in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in applications development, with a solid understanding of web application development in .NET framework ((please use the apply button below) or C#) and experience writing SQL queries/stored procedures in a relational database.
  • 5+ years of experience with ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • 3+ years of experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • 3+ years of experience with JavaScript Web Frameworks such as jQuery, Angular or React.
  • 3+ years with JavaScript, CSS 3 and HTML 5.
  • Experience creating applications and services that run in public cloud offerings such as Azure or AWS.
  • Strong understanding of Microservice-based architecture and system integrations.
  • Experience maintaining large-scale legacy application.
  • Hands on experience in Agile environment and DevOps tools including continuous integration/deploy.
  • Excellent cross-browser debugging and testing knowledge.
  • Experience with .NET Core development.
  • Experience working with technical vendors and leveraging third-party APIs.
  • Experience with green-field application development.
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP and/or SuiteCommerce Advanced (SCA) systems.
  • Hands on experience with Azure DevOps.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and focused on high quality delivery of work products; willing to accept responsibility and accountability.
  • Strong technical and business aptitude.
  • Highly effective time management, organizational, problem-solving and priority setting skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
