POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Position Overview

The Configuration Manager provides full time support to the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Aircraft Maintenance and Logistics Support (AM&LS) Program by managing, planning, and coordinating all project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met.

This opportunity is for a POTENTIAL CONTRACT award and is contingent upon the contract being awarded. Consideration for a potential contract may require a signed letter of intent. If the contract is awarded, another position posting will be available on the Company Careers portal.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)



  • Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities
  • Review contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes
  • Analyze proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system.
  • Coordinate modification records for management control
  • Establish change orders and prepare for change authorization and documentation by customer, company and subcontractor

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Science degree with minimum six years related experience in aircraft production or maintenance; four years with Masters
  • Experience in aerospace configuration management and providing support to cross-functional teams
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret CBP-BI) clearance
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen


Preferred Qualifications or Skills



  • A current Secret DoD/CBP-BI clearance
  • Configuration management experience on Aviation programs
  • Experience with the P-3/DHC-8 aircraft or similar platform
  • Experience with MRO engineering operations
  • A&P certificate
  • Experience with aircraft weight and balance
  • Management of Tech Order/ Engineering drawing databases
  • SharePoint database management experience
