Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Nurse Practitioner: Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Nursing or completion of a course for Nurse Practitioner and certification as a Nurse Practitioner in acute care, adult/gerontology, and/or family nurse practitioner. Current NYS RN license. One year experience as a NP in an acute care setting. Physician Assistant: NYS license and certification as a Physician Assistant. Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) from an accredited school of Physician Assistants. One year experience as a PA in an acute care setting. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Board certification. Experience working in a fast-paced medical practice. Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
